Rebuttal: Arguing in any particular issue is just a waste of time and no longer relevant. like for instance the motion is "THBT there should be a divorce law in the Philippines." the motion is not debatable because divorce is contrary to our culture, religion and family values.
Rebuttal: The issue becomes more complicated and unresolved. When you hThear both sides of an issue, the disadvantage is that sometimes they can get so heated that it deteriorates into an argument and there is no respectful listening to the opponent's side. It is difficult for the debater to present ideas in a clear and effective manner, and in a way which he loses.

Rebuttal: When people think under pressure his ideas usually tends to err and present weak points. His decisions are not accurate and sounds impulsive.

Rebuttal: It does not develop self-confidence becausethe more you argue the more you feel inadequate and doubtful, considering the merits of the arguments of the opposite side.
Rebuttal: Good and convincing arguments of the opposite side tend to limit your thinking and ultimately weakens your personal convictions.
